Orleans History & Interesting Facts

1. Orleans first album.

2. Includes the song Half Moon which was written for and appeared on  Janis Joplins', "Pearl" LP.

3.  Check out Muscle Shoals the studio in which the LP "Orleans was recorded. In an email from Lance he said, "Yes, that's it! Doesn't look like much on the outside, does it? But there's sure a LOT of history that's been made inside those walls.

I'm sure there are MANY stories. For starts, it was a 16-track board, but track 1 never worked, so it was effectively a 15-track studio. We did the whole record, from tracks to mixing, on 15 tracks in 15 days. Barry Beckett and Roger Hawkins (our producers and 2 of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section) really wanted to do it in a week!"
