Lively Up Yourself (Bob Marley) Singles Released (None) Still The One Live - Reviews This CD retrospective contains performances recorded at various venues spanning 1975 - 2002, with several incarnations of the group. All I can say is that the music is hot, the vocals terrific. There are some new songs to my ears, but that is the point! This is not a "greatest hits" collection. This is a retrospective of this wonderful band in concert, when they really came alive. I think that of the newer songs, "(My House Is Like a) Zoo" and "Lady Liberty" really stand out. And the opening song, a cover of Bob Marley's "Trench Town Rock" is everything that you need to remind you how good this band was, and still is. Of special note is the live performance of "The Bum," recorded in March 1977, referred to in the liner notes as "The Wells Kelly Experience." And there is a dynamite rendition of "Still the One." Orleans History & Interesting Facts 1. *Executive Producers - Miss Grace, Compared To What, & Still The One: Robbie Dupree, Bob Jeniker & Yoshi Nagato. 2. **Features various lineups of the band since these songs are taken from different time periods. For detailed information on that buy the CD here. :) 3. The lineup changed around 2000 when the band started working with Lane Hoppen and Charlie Morgan. All four Bob Leinbach, Peter O'brien, Lane Hoppen and Charlie Morgan were part time members that played in the band depending on availabilities and geography. (Lance) 3. "Still The One - Live" is a 30 year retrospective of the band. The songs are live recordings from various gigs over the years and hand-picked from their own vaults. Some were cassette board mixes, some 4-tracks, some TV or in-studio radio shows ... Just lucky captures of specific performances. NOT "the hits" ... everything else that made the band the diverse, exciting live show it was. (Lance) 4. American version and Japan version are identical with the exception of bonus tracks, and the Japan version also contains lyrics other than that the packaging is the same. ![]() Back cover of CD booklet ![]() Japanese obi strip from "Still The One - Live" |
